Site of a new mixed use building in Brooklyn

Baobab announces the groundbreaking for this new residential building on Marcy Avenue.Permits have been pulled for a new eight-unit, five-story mixed-use building in Williamsburg, between Broadway and South 5th Street. It will be 47-feet-tall, and units will spread across 4,314 square feet, averaging a small 539 square feet apiece. There will be two apartments each on the second through fifth floors. The first floor would have two retail spaces spanning 1,495 square feet.

The site is less than a block from the Marcy Av J/M/Z stop, about a block from the LaGuardia Playground, and a few blocks from both the Williamsburg Bridge and Brooklyn Queens Expressway.An existing one-story building, formerly the Al Ritmo restaurant, was demolished.
